Assess

The Assess component is how school counselors evaluate the school counseling program in order to identify areas of improvement. We also get to see what is working and expand on that.

Data can tell us when to stop and adjust, but also when to keep going!

DATA SPEAKS

It is important for us to assess our school counseling program through looking at data to determine how we can grow. This is how we support our students.  Data lets us know what is and is not working.  We also look at data to make decisions about who can benefit from additional services or benefit from small groups that support students' social emotional needs and more.  Our school counseling program supports all students! We also want to know what is working so that we can give ourselves praise and ensure that we carry this further.

Types of Data Include:

  • Student performance trends and growth data

  • Attendance & Behavior records in ASPEN

  • Grades & Test Scores in ASPEN

  • Standardized Test Scores

  • Feedback from our students, families, and staff (surveys)

  • Feedback from our advisory council
